Welcome, my name is Nicki Macartney, and I am an experienced Divorce & Family Law Practitioner and founder of Van Rooyen Attorneys & Divorce Mediation Randburg based in Ferndale, Randburg.
I was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2002 and attended Family Mediation training with the Institute of Family Mediators in 2015, believing wholeheartedly that there has to be a better way for spouses to separate and to minimize the damage caused to the children in the process.
I pride myself on providing exceptional professional, yet personal service to my clients. You will have regular feedback and your matter will not be treated as just another file in my office. When it comes to divorce, I understand that most couples would prefer to avoid the adversarial court process and for that purpose I also offer a mediation service to my clients who are not 100% on the same page at the outset. I appreciate that spouses are concerned about escalating legal fees in an already difficult time in their lives, and therefore I offer a range of competitive fixed-price services and hourly rates services and ensure that costs are kept to a minimum and that the client always knows what to expect in terms of fees, moving forward. If, however litigation is inevitable, I am equipped to deal with such adversarial divorces.
